Barbera Chinato is obtained by adding to a full-bodied Barbera an infusion of digestive herbs which include china, cardamom, and bitter orange. The herbs are cold-macerated in a water-alcohol solution. This wine makes a perfect after-dinner drink with moderate alcohol content.
